Un Tour

Lima, 2011

Once Un tour was installed, to cross the main room at Galería Lucía de la Puente, one would have to walk along that new wall full of unexpected curves and niches, get out of the exhibition space into the courtyard and back to the room. A sort of mutant wall, since the effects of virtual grids produced by the double layer of pegboard sheets were ever changing, according to the movement of the viewer.

The whole show was influenced by an unorthodox “city tour” done with the Peruvian art critic Jorge Villacorta, who took me to Cono Norte area, where we saw a unique and vibrant local architecture that influenced all the works I’ve done in Lima.
